This diagram speculatively attempts to describe the relationship between the Biosphere, the stratification of excess during the Carboniferous period (as a component of Bataille's Solar Economy), and the re-release of this 'bound excess' through the expansion of the Anthropic Technosphere 300 Million years later.
A version of 'Bound Excess Diagram' was published in COLLAPSE - Journal of Philosophical Research and Development - Vol VI Geo-philosophy 2010, and forms the basis of the diagrammatic installation 'The Sun is Black' (see 'projects').
